The Toscana Restaurant Group brings a touch of the Amalfi Coast to Beverly Hills with the introduction of their newest Italian restaurant, Nerano.
The front dining patio, which sits at the base of a 2-story building, is lined with large windows that allow a view into the warm and spacious inside dining area and bar. Upon entering, the ambiance is welcoming, with original exposed wood-framed ceiling, brick flooring and brick walls remaining as architectural features. A full-service glass-enclosed display kitchen furnished with specialty food service equipment showcases its centerpiece—the grand artisanal wood-burning pizza oven. The upper floor private lounge combines a more modern architectural build with vintage furnishings to create a cozy look and feel.
The shell of the building was retrofitted to current building code standard, with new structural steel columns and foundations. The building upgrades include a new elevator with custom-finish cab interior, new electrical transformer, new commercial gas meter, and other substantial renovations supporting infrastructure to address the demands of a full kitchen facility. The space prevented subcontractors from working simultaneously, making careful coordination and collaboration between all project stakeholders vital to ensuring the project was completed on time. The team delivered a graceful space that combines rustic and modern architectural characteristics, an upscale addition to the evolving Beverly Hills cityscape. Nerano opened in November 2016.
