The CBRE DTLA Global Headquarters occupies the 25th and 26th Floors of 400 S. Hope St. in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. CBRE’s vision was to create an “untethered” office environment without traditional private offices, where all employees are provided unassigned workstations in collaborative open areas with diverse work settings. It features new cantilevered structures in a two story atrium space with interconnecting stair, social and multi-use gathering areas, café, pantries, new public restrooms and major MEP infrastructure upgrades including use of chilled beams.
The atrium space captures about 3,000SF of previously exterior balcony space on the 25th Floor by extending the curtain wall out by approximately ten feet. Several structures are constructed above and below cantilevered floor decks. The board room and two conference rooms are housed in a separate two-story stand-alone structure with canted glass wall partitions. The project was delivered under a stringent timeline and extraordinary construction noise restrictions. CBRE DTLA is the first commercial project to be awarded the WELL Healthy Building Certification by Delos Living, and has been awarded LEED Gold certification.
